Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

As a Procurement Advisor at FCC Environment, you'll support the development and delivery of procurement activities across the business, ensuring suppliers, contracts, and processes are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with health, safety, and environmental standards. You'll work closely with the Senior Procurement Advisor, internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive value and continuous improvement. This is a full-time position, working five days per week.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing the procurement of goods, services and projects across the business
  • Supporting the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures
  • Managing supplier compliance with group-wide procurement processes
  • Providing procurement advice, support and guidance to managers
  • Maintaining and reviewing the group supplier base to maximise efficiency and value
  • Building and managing strong supplier relationships
  • Reviewing quotations and negotiating pricing with key suppliers
  • Supporting tenders, specifications and contract reviews
  • Identifying and delivering cost savings and efficiencies
  • Monitoring and analysing purchasing activity
  • Working closely with the SHEQ team to ensure suppliers meet health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Managing ad hoc procurement issues as they arise

What are we looking for?

  • Ideally educated to A-level standard or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years experience in procurement and contract management
  • Experience procuring commodities, services and capital projects
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience of plant and vehicle procurement is desirable
  • CIPS qualification desirable
  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Analytical, detail-focused and commercially aware
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels
