As a Maintenance Manager at FCC Environment, you will fulfil a senior role within the site management team and be responsible for all aspects of maintenance and engineering development across the Energy from Waste facility and associated Materials Treatment Plant. You will provide strong leadership to the maintenance team, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient operation while maximising plant availability and performance. This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Leading and managing all maintenance and engineering activities across the site, ensuring compliance with FCC Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
- Providing leadership, direction and development to the maintenance team, fostering a strong team culture and high performance.
- Managing planned and reactive maintenance to deliver maximum plant availability and operational performance.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining the site CMMS and maintenance procedures.
- Planning and managing equipment outages and out-of-hours maintenance cover arrangements.
- Ensuring compliance with safe systems of work, safety rules and permit-to-work systems.
- Managing external contractors and technical support contracts.
- Supporting budget development and delivery for the maintenance function.
- Deputising for the EfW General Manager when designated to do so.
What are we looking for?
- A minimum of HNC in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical or similar).
- At least five years’ senior supervisory experience within an engineering and maintenance environment, ideally related to steam-powered electricity generation or Energy from Waste.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and safe systems of work.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop, motivate and inspire teams.
- Experience of managing contractors and working in a technically challenging, performance-driven environment.
- Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate, with experience of maintenance management systems.
