Location – Deerplay Landfill Site, BB11 3RL
As a Supervisor at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operation of the site. You will support the Operations Manager in managing site activities, staff, and contractors, while delivering high standards of health & safety, environmental performance, and customer service. This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Supervising the safe and efficient operation of the landfill site in line with permits and legislation
- Leading and supporting site operatives, weighbridge staff, and contractors
- Ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) requirements
- Carrying out risk assessments and implementing safe systems of work
- Managing day-to-day site activities, including inductions and contractor control
- Coordinating mobile plant operations and covering plant duties where required
- Maintaining site records, systems, and documentation (IMS and H&S systems)
- Conducting site inspections and taking corrective action where needed
- Supporting accident/incident investigations and reporting procedures
- Deputising for the Operations Manager as required

- Experience in landfill or a similar environment (essential)
- Experience overseeing and operating mobile plant (essential)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
- Good IT skills and experience maintaining records and systems
- Knowledge of health & safety practices and compliance requirements
- A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
- A reliable, responsible, and performance-driven attitude
