Hours – 45 hours per week, office cover may be 7.00am to 4.00pm, 8.00am to 5.00pm, or 8.30am to 5.30pm

As an Assistant Technical Co-ordinator / Chemist at FCC Environment, you will support the Waste Treatment Division Commercial Team with the technical assessment of enquiries, preparation of transportation documentation, and the collation of data for site records and invoicing. This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week.

Responsibilities
- Assess technical aspects of sales enquiries to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practice
- Interpret waste data to determine composition and safe handling and disposal requirements
- Liaise with customers and waste producers to gather accurate information on waste streams
- Obtain and negotiate quotes from third-party suppliers where required
- Support pricing activities to meet business and revenue targets
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoicing and sales data
- Advise customers on waste regulations, packaging and safe handling
- Support transport activities, including preparation of waste documentation and liaising with drivers and clients
- Ensure all activities comply with environmental permits and legal requirements
Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry or a related subject
- Experience in hazardous waste or chemical industry (desirable)
- Knowledge of transporting hazardous goods (desirable)
- Confident using Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret technical information
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Flexible attitude to work
