Salary: £42,249 - £58,093 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of waste and recycling collection services.
  • Lead and support operational teams, ensuring high performance and compliance.
  • Manage staff, vehicles, and equipment efficiently and in line with legal requirements.
  • Act as the key point of contact for the client.
  • Monitor performance data and identify improvements to service delivery.
  • Support the implementation of new processes, initiatives, and service changes.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Support recruitment, training, and employee welfare activities.
  • Work closely with senior management to identify risks and improve service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing operational contracts and leading teams.
  • Strong understanding of waste, recycling, or environmental services.
  • Proven ability to meet KPI targets and manage service performance.
  • IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification (or willingness to work towards).
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with operational or fleet management systems is desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Proactive, motivated approach with strong leadership skills.
