Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of waste and recycling collection services.
- Lead and support operational teams, ensuring high performance and compliance.
- Manage staff, vehicles, and equipment efficiently and in line with legal requirements.
- Act as the key point of contact for the client.
- Monitor performance data and identify improvements to service delivery.
- Support the implementation of new processes, initiatives, and service changes.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Support recruitment, training, and employee welfare activities.
- Work closely with senior management to identify risks and improve service delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience managing operational contracts and leading teams.
- Strong understanding of waste, recycling, or environmental services.
- Proven ability to meet KPI targets and manage service performance.
- IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification (or willingness to work towards).
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience with operational or fleet management systems is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Proactive, motivated approach with strong leadership skills.
