Overview
HGV Class 1 Driver – Hourly Rate £17.30 per hour plus benefits. Hours: 45 per week. Location: Maw Green Landfill, Crewe, CW1 5NG.
As an HGV Class 1 Driver at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for completing HWRC container collections and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of an FCC vehicle.
You will support effective delivery and collection services to customers or branches as required, while making sure all driving activity is carried out safely, legally and in line with company procedures.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week.

Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle
- Complete HWRC container collections
- Ensure all driving activities comply with legislation and company procedures
- Transport loads safely and in line with legal and environmental requirements
- Carry out vehicle checks and ensure vehicles and equipment are roadworthy
- Observe all company health and safety procedures
- Report accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions
- Work professionally with colleagues, customers and contractors
- Maintain high standards of safety, service and compliance at all times
Requirements
- LGV C+E (HGV Class 1) licence
- Drivers CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum two years\' experience, holding a Class 1 licence
- Previous Roll On Roll Off (RORO) vehicle experience, including wagon and drag
- Experience using RORO sheeting systems
- Good geographical knowledge of the Cheshire area
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, trustworthy and customer-focused
- A strong commitment to health and safety
