AFCamara is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to work in partnership with a large company in the Information Technology and Services sector, with over 40 years in the market. This company is present in the daily lives of millions of Brazilians, developing solutions that positively impact food, health, transport, and culture, ensuring more time and quality of life for companies, workers, and their families. You will be part of a high-performance team, with autonomy and responsibility to create and evolve robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain web applications in React with modular and reusable architecture.
- Lead technical decisions on architecture, coding standards, and front-end best practices.
- Utilise Claude Code to generate, review, and document code, as well as create automated tests.
- Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, including data consumption and processing.
- Ensure performance and accessibility of applications (Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse).
- Guide and mentor mid-level and junior developers.
- Collaborate with backend, UX/UI, and product teams.
- Implement unit and integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library).
- Create clear and up-to-date technical documentation.
- Participate in code reviews, proposing technical and architectural improvements.
Requirements and skills:
Mandatory:
- Proven experience in front-end development with React.
- Deep knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
- Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, React Query or similar).
- Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SASS/Styled Components.
- Practical experience with Claude Code to support development (e.g., code generation, refactoring, explaining complex snippets).
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, and versioning tools.
- Understanding of front-end security (XSS, CSRF, Content Security Policy).
Desirable:
- Experience with Next.js.
- Familiarity with E2E testing (Cypress/Playwright).
- Experience with large-scale performance optimisation.
- Knowledge of DevOps and cloud practices (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
