Foster Care Associates (The FCA) Role: Associate Therapist - Fostering Location: FCA South East - Home-based Salary: £35 per hour About Us Foster Care Associates South East is a Good-rated Ofsted service, 2023. We are highly ambitious for our Foster Parents and want every child in our care to live 'safe and happy' lives. We have an office in London Bridge, with staff and Foster Parents based throughout the entire region in Kent, Sussex, London, Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and on the Isle of Wight. What We Are Looking For We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate therapist or therapy-trained social worker to deliver high-quality therapy services and strengthen our therapy offering, to facilitate and enable a therapeutic environment for looked-after children and young people living with us. As an Associate Therapist, you will offer consultation sessions to those Foster Parents who need help when they are working with particular difficulties in consultation with other staff within the team to discuss issues that arise in relation to actual or potential placements and to external local authorities, social workers and children's schools. This rewarding role allows you to build firm relationships with our new Foster Parents by running sessions/groups for new Foster Parents during their first year and to facilitate their understanding of what it means to be a therapeutic Foster Parent. Additionally, you will run workshops with our staff to support ongoing reflective therapeutic practice and learning. It would be beneficial to have experience of working within a fostering service or similar. You should be able to evidence your administration skills, ability to follow regulatory policies and processes, and have the ability to work well within a fast-paced team.
