The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Therapist or therapy training social worker to deliver high-quality therapy services and strengthen our therapeutic offering. The role will support the development of a therapeutic environment for looked-after children and young people.
- As an Associate Therapist, you will offer consultation sessions to foster parents who require support when managing specific challenges.
- You will also provide consultation to internal staff to discuss issues relating to actual or potential placements, as well as liaising with external local authorities, social workers and schools.
- This rewarding role allows you to build strong relationships with new foster parents by delivering sessions and groups during their first year, helping them understand what it means to be a therapeutic foster carer.
- You will also facilitate workshops for staff to support reflective therapeutic practice and ongoing learning.
Experience of working within a fostering service or similar environment would be beneficial. You should be able to demonstrate strong administrative skills, an understanding of regulatory policies and processes, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team.
