Graduate Product Design Engineer
Location: Exeter
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
An established design business is looking to recruit a Graduate Product Design Engineer to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and motivated individual looking to develop their career in product design. The position will involve working on a variety of projects from initial concepts through to detailed designs and production.
Responsibilities
- Develop new product concepts and design ideas
- Produce 3D CAD models and technical drawings
- Create visual presentations and product renderings
- Assist with prototype development and product testing
- Work closely with colleagues throughout the design process
- Consider materials, manufacturing methods and product functionality
- Support projects from concept through to production
Requirements
- Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Furniture Design or similar
- Experience using 3D CAD design software (Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion, etc.)
- Strong creative thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to produce sketches, concepts and visual presentations
- Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Experience with prototyping or workshop processes beneficial
