This is a full‑time, on‑site Gluing Minder role based in Castle Donington. The Gluing Minder will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring gluing and folding machinery to ensure efficient, accurate, and high‑quality production. Daily tasks include preparing machines for different carton and packaging jobs, carrying out routine checks, and making adjustments to maintain quality standards. The role involves performing basic maintenance, troubleshooting minor faults, and escalating technical issues when needed. The Gluing Minder will also complete production records, follow health and safety procedures, and collaborate closely with supervisors and colleagues to meet deadlines and performance targets.

Qualifications:

  • Experience operating or minding gluing, folding, or similar finishing machinery in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to perform basic machine adjustments, identify issues, and support routine maintenance.
  • High attention to detail and quality, with the ability to inspect work, follow specifications, and maintain consistent standards.
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices in a production setting, including safe machine operation.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively across shifts.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills to read job tickets, complete production records, and follow written procedures.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced environment, manage changing priorities, and meet production deadlines.
  • Previous experience in the carton, print, or packaging industry is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
