Financial Controller - Property Investment & Development

We are a growing, family‑run property investment and development business seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to take ownership of our finance function.
This is a standalone role overseeing 50+ entities, working closely with Directors to drive financial accuracy, controls, and growth.
We are looking for someone who has good tax planning experience in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day finance across multiple entities
Oversee AP/AR, ledgers, and intercompany transactions
Implement financial processes and controls
Prepare financial data for external accountants
Monitor budgets, costs, and VAT compliance
Support refinancing and lender requirements
Requirements
Experience in multi‑entity finance (property sector preferred)
Strong intercompany accounting and VAT knowledge
Xero (or similar) experience
Highly organised, detail‑focused, and proactive
