About the Role
We are looking for a Compliance Manager (SHEQ) to join a dynamic team in Nottinghamshire. In this role, you will oversee environmental and waste compliance, ensuring the business adheres to all relevant regulations. You will also manage one direct report and work closely with different departments to maintain and improve compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with waste management regulations, environmental legislation, and industry standards.
- Oversee ISO 14001 compliance and auditing, ideally holding a Lead Auditor qualification or similar.
- Develop and implement compliance processes and policies in line with industry best practices.
- Provide guidance on environmental policies and ensure adherence to compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal teams and regulatory bodies to maintain high compliance standards.
- Manage and support a direct report within the compliance team.
- Occasional travel to the Leicester site (once every one or two weeks). Mileage expenses will be covered.
What We’re Looking For
- Essential: Experience in waste management compliance.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance processes.
- ISO 14001 Lead Auditor qualification (or similar) is highly desirable.
- A degree in Environmental Science, Compliance, or a related field is beneficial but not essential if you have strong experience.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work independently.
- A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle for site visits.
