About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Sales Administrator to join a growing business within a manufacturing/engineering environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid sales administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, transactional setting and is looking to develop their career further, with potential progression into an Office Manager role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming sales enquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely and professional responses
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently within internal systems
  • Raise proformas, invoices, and credit notes in line with company processes
  • Maintain and update customer and order records within CRM and internal systems
  • Coordinate with internal teams including production, logistics, and finance to ensure smooth support dispatch processes, including preparation of delivery notes and booking shipments
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times, and order updates where required
  • Assist with general administrative duties to support the wider team

Skills & Experience Required

  • 2–3 years’ experience in a Sales Administration, Sales Support, or similar role
  • Proven experience in order processing, invoicing, and handling credit notes
  • Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems
  • Experience with Sage 50 is desirable
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Familiarity with technical products or supply chain processes

Additional Information

This is a fully office-based role in Shipley, West Yorkshire. Candidates should ideally live within a commutable distance. Driving is preferred due to location.
