Our client, a successful and growing Software company, is currently seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join their team. A permanent, full-time position operating a hybrid working pattern of 2 days in the office (Worcester location), this Technical Business Analyst job role will be largely back end focused.

You will be looking at the architecture of systems, analysing current processes, highlighting areas of inefficiencies or risks, and designing future state, improved processes. The business is undertaking a technology modernisation initiative and this role will play a key role in advancing these programmes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Elicit, understand, and communicate AS-IS and TO-BE states, breaking it into executable goals
  • Analyse current processes, identify inefficiencies or risks, and design improved processes
  • Gather non-functional and technical requirements, translating them into user stories
  • Articulate business value and manage scope to maximise stakeholder value
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, cross functionally and varying in seniority
  • Manage backlog ownership
  • Define Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for measuring service performance
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in a technical BA role or similar, with emphasis on Software Development
  • Experience leading systems analysis and requirements gathering for technology modernisation programmes
  • Experience of User Story Mapping, Value stream mapping and defining acceptance criteria for modernisation
  • BCS Certification is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques
