Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a skilled SharePoint Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working on complex activities across various contexts, providing essential SharePoint support, and contributing significantly to the organisation's projects and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Squad Leads, Business Engagement Leads, and Stakeholders to translate requirements into deliverable work packages.
- Adapt plans based on the prioritisation of demand.
- Investigate, define, and resolve complex issues, assisting in multiple areas of IT processes, services, and projects.
- Communicate and present information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Influence customers and participate in activities within your area of expertise.
- Make decisions impacting the success of projects and team objectives.
- Collaborate regularly with team members, users and customers to ensure user needs are met.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor work to meet time and quality targets.
Core Duties:
- Support Enterprise SharePoint across the UK & RoW under the guidance of the SharePoint Squad Lead and Technical Lead.
- Maintain close working relationships between the EIT SharePoint Product team and its stakeholders.
- Capture requirements for Business as Usual improvements to SharePoint deployments and develop innovative solutions.
- Attend workshops with key stakeholders, provide demos, and gather feedback.
- Contribute to discussions on breaking down requests and delivering value early and often.
- Support project teams in upgrading SharePoint to future versions and migrate content efficiently.
- Utilise methods, tools, and techniques, selecting appropriately from predictive or adaptive approaches.
- Manage resolutions, corrective actions, and disseminate relevant information to measure stakeholder management effectiveness.
- Design, develop, customise, and maintain learning materials and resources for agreed outcomes.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in best practice application management in line with ITIL processes.
- Experience working with multiple versions of SharePoint.
- Understanding of application development and promotion into multiple environments.
- Experience in managing stakeholders and using third-party tools like Nintex, K2, Sharegate, and Linkfixer.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and multiple stakeholders, keeping end objectives in sight.
- Highly organised, motivated, and detail-conscious.
- Strong communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas to broad audiences.
- Committed to learning and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- ITIL foundation training (desirable).
- Microsoft MS900 (mandatory), AZ900 (desirable).
