Our client, a growing company in the UK’s digital and software services landscape, is seeking a Cloud & Service Transition Architect to join their consulting division. This permanent position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to contribute significantly to digital and data transformation projects within the UK public sector, utilising cutting-edge cloud technologies and service solutions. This role will see you lead client engagement in the support and delivery of client objectives. You will be required to travel to client sites weekly, whilst head office visits expected typically once a month. Office location is West Sussex. Key Responsibilities: Provide direction and support to organisational change, process, and technology development teams. Lead the development of service architectures for new and existing projects Translate requirements into scalable hosting and service solutions. Define and document service delivery frameworks, ensuring operational models are robust and adaptable. Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders for successful implementation. Offer technical leadership in solution reviews, ensuring designs meet client and regulatory standards. Develop cost models, risk assessments, and business cases for proposed solutions. Ensure solution architectures are cost-effective and efficient. Job Requirements: Solid cloud knowledge in Azure and AWS environments Experience in defining and designing on-prem, hybrid, single cloud, and multi-cloud architectures. Experience in selecting and costing applications on cloud environments. Strong background in implementing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services and solutions. Experience in distributed architecture, integrating Azure and AWS applications with COTS applications. Experience in defining service models and designing service architectures. Experience in IT Service Management frameworks, ITIL certification is a plus. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills. This is a visible and influential opportunity within a business that has been growing following a number of contract wins.
