Our client is seeking a Data Business Analyst (Data Provisioning) for a contract opportunity within a major transformation programme. You'll bridge business requirements and data delivery by analysing and documenting data flows and reporting, ensuring requirements are validated and ready for implementation into the Data Lake to support key business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder engagement (Source SMEs) and source system analysis (essential)
- Engage closely with source system SMEs to build a strong understanding of source systems, data structures, and business context. Use these insights to validate assumptions, clarify data usage, and ensure accurate analysis and mapping.
- AS-IS documentation (essential)
- Document current-state (AS-IS) data flows and reporting landscapes, ensuring outputs are clearly articulated, validated, and aligned with stakeholders. Facilitate playback sessions and share findings at squad or domain level where required.
- Requirements analysis and elaboration (essential)
- Collaborate with squad Data BAs and report users to analyse and refine epics for data provisioning in the Data Lake, translating them into detailed, actionable requirements for data modellers and engineers.
- Data mapping and analysis (desirable)
- Analyse source data structures and content to support accurate mapping into target data models.
