Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join their team based in Warton. This is a 6-month contract position requiring part-time site presence, with a focus on ensuring the highest level of cyber security standards are met across various digital capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support monitoring compliance with cyber security policies and manage assessment and reporting of cyber risks/threats.
- Coordinate the progress of Cyber Assurance requests using Jira for documentation and approvals.
- Conduct preliminary assessments of assurance requests and assist Technical Design Authorities and Project Managers.
- Support the design of IT systems to meet security requirements, balancing functional needs with security standards.
- Ensure completeness of documentation throughout the process, supporting reviews and audits.
- Coordinate and schedule stakeholder reviews at appropriate assurance process stages.
- Assist the wider Cyber team in reviewing and approving proposals throughout the assurance process.
- Monitor, evaluate, and enhance Cyber Design Assurance processes.
Job Requirements:
- Experience as a Cyber Analyst within the Defence & Security sector.
- Proficiency in using Jira for documentation and tracking processes.
- Understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies in a cyber security context.
- Ability to design and evaluate IT systems to meet robust security requirements.
- Strong documentation skills to support audit and review processes.
- Proven ability to coordinate and schedule stakeholder engagements effectively.
- Familiarity with reviewing and enhancing cyber assurance processes.
- Ability to work part-time on-site as required.
