We are based in the heart of the Black Country, Shropshire, Worcestershire and Birmingham serving clients nationally. We are looking to recruit an experienced IT User Support to work with our IT Team based in Wolverhampton. You must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle as this role will require travelling to our office bases as required.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the firms computer systems and networks.
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
- Diagnose hardware/software faults and resolve appropriately.
- Resolve technical and applications problems, via the helpdesk and helpdesk requests, either over the phone or in person.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of the firms information systems and how they are used and apply their technical knowledge/expertise appropriately.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware/software faults; replacing parts as required.
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
- Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
- Support the roll-out of new applications.
- Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
- Assist with user training when needed.
- Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs.
- Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate).
- Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time.
- Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, e.g., software developers.
- Test and evaluate new technology and involvement in specific project work as required.
- Only visual checks, official testing via PAT.
- Travel to various sites across the midlands when needed.
- This role will from time to time require out of office hours working to ensure downtime and disruption is minimised.
