About the Role
Our Gaucho/a Chef’s role is part of the grill team and they are responsible for the cooking and serving of our meats. The grill and our meats are at the heart of what we do. Our chefs grill, serve and carve the finest selection of meats directly at guests’ tables, bringing the tradition of Brazilian churrasco straight to their experience. Full training is provided, so experience is not essential; a friendly attitude and passion for guests will ensure a great fit. A good level of English is required. The advertised wage is inclusive of a basic wage of £12.26 per hour, plus an anticipated tronc of £4.93 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Ensure meats are cooked to the correct specification.
- Deliver a well-timed flow of perfectly presented meats.
- Inform guests about each meat and make recommendations based on preferences.
- Maintain service control cards to enable optimal experience, controlled at the guest’s discretion.
- Deliver meats to guests in accordance with their specific cooking preferences (e.g., rare, medium rare, well‑done).
- Meet requests for specific cuts of meat within an optimal time frame.
- Mental note of individual guests’ favourites and offer them more frequently than lesser‑preferred meats.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and team‑work skills.
- Friendliness, enthusiasm for guests, and a willingness to learn.
- Good level of English.
