An Auto-care Technician requires a unique combination of technical, retail and customer service skills. You will use a range of tools, measuring and diagnostic equipment to identify and repair simple system faults. You will demonstrate expertise not only in the technical elements of your role and have a good grasp of the practical and theoretical aspects of the vehicle systems you service, but also have excellent telephone, customer service and strong problem solving and self-organisation skills. You will assist with MOTs, mechanics on vehicles and cleaning cars and you will attend Kingston College one day a week to study and gain professional knowledge and skills.
At the end of the apprenticeship, you will be a fully qualified technician with an MOT licence.
