We are working with a long standing and reputable Main Contractor, who are recruiting for a Systems Support Officer to join them on a permanent basis. The company are a passionate and growing business and are seeking individuals to join the business who share their ethos of ensuring high quality, striving for improvement and giving back to the communities they work for. This is a vital role for the business, as you will help to ensure that the company systems work efficiently, effectively and are secure by maintaining and developing the IT systems and processes, working closely with the company's IT Support Provider.
Your duties will include:
- Technical support: Provide help desk support to users in addition to the support provided by our outsourced IT support company.
- System and database management: Develop and maintain administrative and IT systems, including managing databases, e-filing, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Project support: Assist with projects involving system upgrades or new feature implementations, including providing assistance with training and resources for testing and data migration.
- Security management: To assist in managing access to data across Microsoft 365 and other company systems.
- IT equipment management: Manage allocation of all IT equipment, maintaining user registers and management of hardware equipment upgrades both leased and purchased.
- Reporting and communication: Prepare reports, maintain communication with stakeholders (in particular our IT support provider), and clearly explain solutions to technical problems.
- Process improvement: Identify and implement ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operational IT processes.
- Accreditation support: Supporting the HSEQ team in maintenance and development of our ISO accredited business processes.
- Administrative support: Perform day-to-day office tasks such as ordering supplies, and coordinating meetings.
The successful candidate must have a strong background within IT and excellent IT skills. You will be able to work under pressure, using your own initiative.
