My client is a Leading Civil Engineering Company. They are presently looking to recruit, on a permanent basis, a Sub Agent to work on projects in the southeastern region, particularly in the Counties of East Sussex, Surrey and Kent. The company specialise in the following sectors:
- Highways & Structures
- Infrastructure & Public Realm
- Ports, Rivers & Marine
- Environment Agency Projects
- MOD & Defence
- Aviation
- Water & Wastewater
Initially, the successful individual will be assisting the existing site team who are in the process of delivering a large development infrastructure project. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering civil engineering projects. My client is open minded and would consider individuals with circa 4-5 years of experience as a Site Engineer, Section / Senior Engineer or someone already in the role.
Sub Agent duties include:
- Assisting the Site Agent with the successful and timely delivery of the projects
- Advising the engineering team with solutions to technical challenges
- Assisting in production and integration of 3-week programmes
- Managing designs from the inhouse and external designers
- Supporting the project team with construction methodology and sequencing
- Collaborating with the project team on resource, plant and material requirements
- Training and mentoring the junior members of the engineering team
- Demonstrating value engineering throughout the construction process
- Managing RFI's and Technical Queries
