My client is a Leading Civil Engineering Company. They are presently looking to recruit, on a permanent basis, a Sub Agent to work on projects in the southeastern region, particularly in the Counties of East Sussex, Surrey and Kent. The company specialise in the following sectors:

  • Highways & Structures
  • Infrastructure & Public Realm
  • Ports, Rivers & Marine
  • Environment Agency Projects
  • MOD & Defence
  • Aviation
  • Water & Wastewater

Initially, the successful individual will be assisting the existing site team who are in the process of delivering a large development infrastructure project. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering civil engineering projects. My client is open minded and would consider individuals with circa 4-5 years of experience as a Site Engineer, Section / Senior Engineer or someone already in the role.

Sub Agent duties include:

  • Assisting the Site Agent with the successful and timely delivery of the projects
  • Advising the engineering team with solutions to technical challenges
  • Assisting in production and integration of 3-week programmes
  • Managing designs from the inhouse and external designers
  • Supporting the project team with construction methodology and sequencing
  • Collaborating with the project team on resource, plant and material requirements
  • Training and mentoring the junior members of the engineering team
  • Demonstrating value engineering throughout the construction process
  • Managing RFI's and Technical Queries
