Start date: 19/01/26 (Must be available to meet site manager next week for informal)
Pay rate: £190 p/d
The company: A well established regional contractor who specialises in new build residential with a focus on high end finishes.
The role: To prepare the ground on a construction site, often being the first trade on-site to prepare the ground for structural work and the last to finish, as they complete tasks like laying driveways and footpaths. This involves a variety of tasks including excavations, installing drainage, and concreting, while also requiring physical fitness and attention to detail. Must be able to do slabs, edges, curbs, all aspects including internal and external drains. Must be able to drive dumper - Tickets ideal but not a deal breaker.
About you: Ideally you will have previous working experience in a Groundworking position. You will be comfortable lifting and shifting materials throughout the day. You will be conscious of health and safety on site and will be wary of others who are working alongside you. You will arrive on time, finish your shift at the times allocated by the site manager and complete additional duties as and when the site manager requires.
To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Previous experience in a Groundworking position
- You will have a CSCS Card and Dumper Tickets.
- Strong work ethic in a team
- Be approachable and happy to work as a point of contact when working in a standalone position.
