My client is a Leading, National Civil Engineering Contractor. They are presently looking for a Site Engineer to work in the Bristol area on a Civil Engineering Framework that covers the following types of projects:

  • Roadworks
  • Highways
  • Bridges
  • Culverts and other structures
  • Drainage
  • Earthworks
  • Various Civil Engineering works

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing, maintaining, designing and developing small-scale through to large-scale construction projects
  • Ensuring that all works are carried out in compliance with the company’s health and safety and environmental policies and procedures
  • Conducting on site investigations and analysing the data
  • Carrying out accurate setting out and surveying of the works
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications for the construction of the works
  • The provision of advice in resolving any emerging problems/deficiencies
  • Building and maintaining relationship with all stakeholders
  • Ensuring that all works are completed in full compliance with health and safety legislation

Qualifications And Capabilities:

  • Up to date with current health and safety legislation
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Project 2000, CAD, LSS surveying packages
  • Proficient in the use of MS Project to develop baseline programs and to monitor and update progress
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening and negotiation skills
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Resilience when working to fixed deadlines and managing risk
  • Good attention to detail
  • HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering or other similar related course preferable
  • SMSTS
  • Clean UK Driving License
