Overview
In this role you will oversee quality on a large industrial build in Sheffield, ensuring work aligns with contract documents and industry standards. You’ll guide site teams, run on-site inspections and audits, and drive corrective actions for non-conformances. You’ll draft and implement Project Specific Quality Plans and ITPs, acting as the main quality liaison with clients and subcontractors. This is a hands-on position shaping quality delivery on a major project with cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections and internal audits to verify compliance with drawings, specs, and codes
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and implementing Project Specific Quality Plans and ITPs
- Identify defects and non-conformances, lead corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Serve as primary quality contact for clients, subcontractors, and supply chain partners
Key requirements
- Proven QA/QC or site-based experience in construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure
- Working knowledge of quality management systems, especially ISO 9001
- HNC level education, CSCS Card, and relevant industry qualifications
- Effective communication with clients and subcontractors
- Attention to detail
- Problem-solving under site pressure
