We are currently recruiting for a Section Engineer to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering a key package on a major UK renewable energy scheme.

This role is based on a large-scale onshore infrastructure development supporting a nationally significant offshore wind project, involving complex civil engineering works, high-voltage infrastructure, and integration into the UK transmission network.

The Role

As Section Engineer, you will take ownership of a defined section of works, ensuring delivery is safe, on programme, and built to specification. You will play a key role in coordinating site activities and interfacing with subcontractors and design teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating daily site activities within your section
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and built to specification
  • Setting out, QA, and ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and ITPs
  • Supporting the Site Agent / Project Manager in planning and sequencing works
  • Managing subcontractors and driving performance against programme
  • Producing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs, and work packages
  • Maintaining accurate site records and progress reporting
  • Upholding high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Section Engineer on major infrastructure or energy projects
  • Strong background in civil engineering works (earthworks, drainage, RC structures, or substations preferred)
  • Experience working for Tier 1 or large principal contractors
