About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Your role as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be to work with the team on a variety of projects and maintenance works from start to finish. The right candidate will also be willing to learn and have the motivation to successfully deliver projects for clients. Alongside the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be preparing cost estimates, budgets, and payment applications, as well as gathering and organising cost data. You will be working on projects between £1 & £5 million on high-end residential and some commercial projects.

Requirements for Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

  • The company is looking for a process-driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor who has strong negotiation and communication skills, is organised, and has high attention to detail.
  • You will come from a Trainee QS background and be competent in assisting managing the downstream process, have an understanding of the reporting process, and have strong commercial acumen.
  • You will be highly motivated and ambitious as there is an opportunity to progress your career with the team.
  • Experience in a Quantity Surveying role, supporting senior QS professionals.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of building and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Willing to work 5 days per week on site in Central London.
  • Degree in a construction-related subject.
