We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor for an experienced Plant Fitter to join their team. This is a field-based position, working from home with a company van and fuel card provided. The role involves the maintenance and repair of a range of construction plant machinery (up to 30 tonnes), ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable, and fully operational across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair construction plant machinery
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Manage workload effectively while working independently
Requirements
- Proven experience working with construction plant equipment
- Experience with Hitachi excavators and similar machinery (including LGVs)
- Good understanding of site procedures
- Able to work on own initiative and prioritise tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance (desirable)

- £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
