Fawkes & Reece are representing a leading Tier 1 MEP contractor, seeking an experienced Building Services Operations Director to join their senior leadership team in London. This is a strategic leadership position, offering the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the continued growth and delivery of major building services projects across the capital. The successful candidate will drive business performance, lead project delivery, and help shape the future of a highly regarded contractor known for delivering complex, high-value schemes.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the implementation of the business strategy, supporting the growth and delivery of major projects in the UK.
  • Develop and execute the business plan for your sector, with full P&L responsibility.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor project teams to ensure successful delivery across a portfolio of projects.
  • Strengthen and expand the client base through proactive relationship management and business development.
  • Oversee commercial and contractual interests, ensuring they are protected at all times.
  • Drive innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement across all operations.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company values.
  • Play a key role in strategic planning, project selection, and overall business performance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating at Director or Senior Project/Operations Manager level within a Tier 1 MEP or main contractor.
  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen with experience leading business units or major project portfolios.
  • Track record in pre-construction, tendering, and delivery of large-scale projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship skills.
  • Demonstrated success in driving business growth and delivering results at a senior level.

Package

£150,000–£160,000 + car allowance, bonus, pension, and comprehensive benefits.
