Are you an Electrician looking for the opportunity to work with an established, busy Contractor on a permanent basis? We have a position available for an experienced candidate to work within the Electrical division of a Social Housing Contractor, working on Social Housing Refurbishment projects. The company are based in the North West, but have a large operation in North Yorkshire (York, Thirsk, Scarborough etc.) and are looking for several electricians to join them on a cards in basis.
You will be paid a base salary of £40k, plus van and fuel card with on target earnings (pricework) of up to £60k. You will be working in both tenanted and void properties, working on predominantly the installation of Solar Panels. The successful candidate will have a strong background in domestic electrical engineering - experience of Solar Panel installation is ideal but not essential as training will be given for the right candidate.
Duties will include:
- Electrical Installations: Perform electrical installations and modifications for domestic projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Air source heat pump installations.
- Solar PV installations.
- System Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems, diagnosing and resolving issues as they arise.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and electrical regulations, including the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Ensure all work is compliant with legal and company standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including project managers and engineers, to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation details, maintenance logs, and compliance reports.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to clients, addressing their needs and concerns professionally and effectively.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Full UK Driving License
- NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 qualification
- City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395 inspection and testing (desirable)
- A good level of IT literacy.
- An understanding of Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace.
- City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification
- Experience within the Social Housing sector
