Overview
The project consists of RC framed apartment blocks with 6–8 stories of mixed-use commercial space. The scheme is valued in excess of £75 million. Candidates must have experience working start to finish on complex high-rise projects, particularly at the finishing stages of the project, including commissioning and inspecting M&E services for a successful handover of areas, through to QA and delivery of sub-contractor works across the scheme and through to commissioning stages.
This is a live project. Working with the growing team, you will be pivotal as the lead Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) services for the project, working alongside the Project Director, Design and Commercial leads for the scheme.
Responsibilities
- Lead M&E services for the project and coordinate with project leadership to ensure successful handover, QA, and commissioning.
- Oversee delivery of sub-contractor works across the scheme, ensuring alignment with budget and programme; manage design and planning issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with the Project Director, Design and Commercial leads to drive project performance on a high-rise residential scheme valued over £75 million.
- Provide guidance during finishing stages, commissioning, and inspection of M&E services.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory requirements throughout delivery.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Ideally UK main contractor experience delivering projects in excess of £50 million, with apartment blocks/high-rise residential environments.
- Ability to manage initial design and planning issues as well as day-to-day delivery of subcontractor works to budget and programme.
- Background as Project Engineer, Project Manager, Contracts Manager with an M&E sub-contractor, and/or experience as a BSM for a top twenty Main Contractor.
- Excellent technical knowledge; commercial and contractual awareness; strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong planning and problem-solving ability; proactive approach to contractual/programme issues.
- A driven, positive team player who is ambitious, determined, resourceful, and able to perform under pressure.
- Eligibility to work in the UK (candidate must prove eligibility).
