A privately owned but well established property developer who focus on the Build-to-Rent sector are looking to appoint a Maintenance Coordinator to join their team to deliver customer excellence and instruct maintenance requests for their portfolio of properties across the Northwest.
Working closely with the Maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering a professional service to customers throughout their defect period, dealing with customer concerns received by telephone or written communication, coordinating remedial works and appointing contractors to deal with any snagging or defects that arise in their homes, in a timely and professional manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, review and log all reported maintenance issues from the lettings team and residents.
- Troubleshoot maintenance calls in the first instance before instructing follow on work.
- Keep all parties up to date with progress and follow up on status with Maintenance Manager.
- Arrange maintenance access as instructed by Maintenance Manager.
- Organise contractors when required.
- Maintain details of all Out of Hours requests in conjunction with the Lettings and Maintenance team and update the Out of Hours company on a regular basis of any changes.
- Process invoices to the Finance department after receiving authorisation for payment.
- Schedule periodic maintenance reviews.
- Ensure the compliance certificates are in date and regular checks scheduled.
Key experience required:
- Experience within a customer service focussed role or call handling.
- Track record of achieving & sustaining high customer satisfaction results.
- Good time management, ability to multitask, organise workload and work within a pressurised environment.
- Good understanding of finance and accounting, specifically property related.
- Good level of computer literacy including Excel, Word and Outlook and ability to pick up new packages.
- Knowledge of property laws and regulations and ensuring they are adhered to.
- Pro-active approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - engaging with customers, subcontractors and third parties.
- IT literate and comfortable working within bespoke IT systems.
