We are currently working with a Tier 1 contractor seeking experienced Design Managers to join their growing construction team delivering high-profile MOD and MOJ projects across the Northwest. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Design Manager with experience in complex, secure, and technically demanding projects to play a key role from pre-construction through to project delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating the design process from tender through to completion liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Reviewing and managing design programmes and technical information.
- Ensuring compliance with MOD/MOJ standards, regulations, and security requirements.
- Identifying and resolving design issues proactively.
- Supporting project delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Chairing design meetings and maintaining clear communication across all stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Design Manager within the construction industry.
- Experience working on MOD/MOJ, Healthcare, Education, or other regulated projects preferred.
- Strong technical and construction knowledge.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant Construction qualification preferred.
