About the Company
Our client is a fast-growing, multi-disciplined construction company headquartered in Bishops Stortford, operating across London and with newly secured projects abroad. With a current annual turnover of £20m and a strong pipeline that will see the business scale to £40–45m next year, this is an exciting time to join a company with a proven business model and substantial secured work.
The Role
Due to continued growth and new project wins, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong technical background in complex construction environments. You will be responsible for delivering projects valued at approximately £3m, ensuring safety, quality, and programme performance across a diverse range of civil engineering and structural scopes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects from inception to completion.
- Manage all site activities, ensuring compliance with client specifications, regulatory standards, and company procedures.
- Oversee subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring effective communication and performance.
- Maintain strong commercial control, working closely with QS teams to manage budgets, variations, and forecasting.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Drive a strong safety culture across all site operations.
- Produce and monitor programmes, risk assessments, and method statements.
About You
- Proven experience managing complex construction projects (ideally £1m–£5m).
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to drive teams and influence stakeholders.
- Hands on and technical experience with either: Ground works, Enabling Works, Sub structure and superstructure works, Data Centers, Substations, Temporary Works, Blast Walls etc.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and problem-solving ability.
- A proactive and commercially aware manager who thrives in a fast-paced, growing business.
- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid and relevant engineering or construction qualifications (preferred).
