We have an exciting opportunity to work with an established international General Contractor on Data centre and infrastructure projects with high profile clients across Europe, including the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Austria, and Finland.
This role offers great client exposure, fast track progression opportunities, and the ability to run and manage your own projects with the potential to oversee multiple projects.
About the role of Project Quantity Surveyor:
You will be managing various contractors, ensuring project operations run smoothly while maintaining communication with clients. A high level of detailed reporting is required, including creating cost plus plans for clients, substantiating financial plans, adhering to health and safety standards, and managing cost reports and applications while working on FSA contracts.
A PQS or QS will manage projects valued at 15-20 million, overseeing subcontractors and packages independently, primarily focusing on groundworks and footpath projects for data centres.
A QS/PQS will be expected to travel across Europe to multiple sites within the first two months of employment. After settling into the role, you can operate on a cycle of one week in the UK and one week in Europe. You must be prepared to spend sustained periods overseas when required, up to one month or more at a time.
Responsibilities for Project Quantity Surveyor:
- Independently manage and run projects up to 20 million in value
- Create 'Cost plus' reporting, applications, and financial reporting
- Subcontractor management and package delivery
- Effective upstream communication and client-facing duties
- Plan for and implement changes on projects when required
Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Ability to travel within Europe
- Ability to stay abroad for sustained periods
- Project management experience
- Subcontractor management experience
- Client liaison and meeting experience
- Ownership and accountability of all work under your leadership
- Extreme attention to detail and skilled at producing all necessary reporting
- Previous Data centre or Groundworks experience (not a firm requirement)
