The role of an Estimator involves playing a key part of the thriving pre-construction team, responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for residential, commercial and student accommodation refurbishment projects, typically ranging up to £20m+.
Responsibilities of an Estimator include:
- Producing detailed quotations, raising purchase orders, managing project budgets and approving supplier invoices.
- Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for refurbishment projects.
- Developing comprehensive and accurate estimations & presentations.
- Sourcing new products and suppliers as needed.
- Contributing to building systems that streamline processes.
Requirements for an Estimator:
- Minimum 5 years main contractor experience.
- Experience working on Residential refurbishment projects with values up to £5m+.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Relevant construction related degree or qualification.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
