Role Overview
Project: A417 Missing Link (Major Highways & Environmental Green Bridges)
Location: Gloucester / Gloucestershire
Contract Type: Contract - 12 Months +
Reports To: Sub Agent / Project Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Structural Delivery: Take full ownership of a defined structures section (e.g., bridge structures, reinforced concrete (RC) elements, piling, or beam lifts) from planning through to handover.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all structural works are constructed in strict accordance with design specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Highways standards.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor Site Engineers, providing technical guidance and checking setting out and dimensional control.
- Subcontractor Management: Coordinate day-to-day activities with specialist subcontractors, plant, and materials teams.
- Commercial & Progress: Monitor daily progress against short-term lookahead programmes and escalate technical or program queries to the Sub Agent.
- Health & Safety: Enforce the highest standards of H&S and environmental compliance across a live, landscape-led highways environment.
