Opportunity for an Estimating Director to work for a leading Main Contractor. This is an exciting new role to manage an existing team, workload and grow a successful division.

About the role of Estimating Director:

As Estimating Director, you will oversee and manage the existing estimating team which consists of Senior Estimators, Estimators, Assistant Estimators and Admin. Based at their London office, you will focus on all Data Centre projects UK and Europe wide, with these projects ranging up to £400 Million. With an existing turnover for this division of Circa £300 Million, there are plans for this individual to support and grow the team further. The Estimating Director will report directly into the Managing Director.

Responsibilities for Estimating Director Business Unit:

  • Responsibility for playing a key role in strategic and leadership.
  • Overseeing the estimating function and team.
  • Oversee preparation of cost estimates, budgets, bid proposals and tender submissions.
  • Managing existing and new relationships.
  • Leading tender presentations, interviews, and negotiations with clients.
  • Develop and deliver 1 stage bids.

Requirements for Estimating Director:

  • 10+ years experience within Construction Preconstruction position with a Main Contractor.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Team leadership, planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
  • Ability to identify risk and opportunities and decide bid strategy.
