I’ve been tasked to find a Senior Site Manager for a reputable main contractor on a freelance basis. It is an immediate start and will finish in March 2028.
The project is a new build school worth circa £80m, including a new car park. It consists of building a primary school, secondary school and sports hall. You will be building the secondary school which consists of a three storey steel frame structure and brick facade. You’ll be reporting to an on site Senior Project Manager and work alongside another permanently employed Senior Site Manager who is building the primary school and sports hall.
Requirements for Senior Site Manager:
- SMSTS
- CSCS
Responsibilities for the Senior Site Manager:
- Attending and contributing in contractor pre-start meetings.
- Chairing weekly sub-contractor progress meetings, taking and issuing meeting minutes.
- Review drawings, specifications, method statements, risk assessments, and construction information.
- Mentor and develop junior site managers, engineers, supervisors, and other site personnel.
Day rate between £300-400 CIS. Temporary to permanent opportunity. Essex based work after the initial project is finished.
