A leading Principal Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their team on a £30m school project in Essex, currently entering the fit-out stage. This is a key role on site, acting as a strong Number 2 to the Project Manager, helping to drive programme, quality, and subcontractor coordination through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day site operations during the fit-out phase
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors across multiple trades
- Ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
- Maintain strict health & safety compliance on site
- Support the Project Manager with reporting, programme tracking, and logistics
- Drive quality control and snagging processes through to handover
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager with a main contractor
- Experience managing fit-out stages on medium to large-scale builds
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications
