Exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join the UK\’s leading contractor for private and public sector construction in Industrial and Logistic Construction schemes. The Engineering Manager will lead and deliver across a diverse range of major civil engineering and infrastructure projects. Meanwhile, be the the direct line of report for the Engineering operations across the business, focusing on development and progression of newer and less experienced Engineers, to aid development and learning the way of working of the business.

About the role

  • Overseeing the engineering function across major infrastructure and industrial schemes up to £100million in project value.
  • Leading project planning, technical coordination and delivery assurance.
  • Lead on strategy and process for the development of newer, less experienced engineers.
  • Lead on Material procurement
  • Supporting project teams with engineering expertise and problem solving
  • Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional development
  • Reporting to the senior leadership team on project status, risks, and opportunities

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in a senior engineering or technical leadership role within industrial construction and/or infrastructure schemes
  • Strong technical background in HNCor degree in Civil Engineering
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manager complex interfaces across multidisciplinary teams
  • Full understanding of CDM regulations, temporary works and value engineering
  • A driven, solutions-focused mindset with commercial awareness
