We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Landscape Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the construction, maintenance, and improvement of outdoor spaces, ensuring high-quality standards and excellent customer satisfaction. This role involves physical work in all weather conditions and requires a proactive, safety-conscious attitude.

Pay rate: £16-18 an hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general landscaping duties including planting, turfing, mulching, pruning, weeding, and soil preparation.
- Assist with soft and hard landscaping projects such as laying patios, installing edging, fencing, and garden structures.
- Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and equipment (e.g., mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters) safely and efficiently.
- Support routine grounds maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, leaf clearance, and litter removal.
- Follow site plans, instructions, and schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain a tidy, safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or the public.
- Report any issues, hazards, or maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or outdoor labour is desirable but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of horticulture and landscape maintenance techniques is an advantage.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate relevant machinery and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Personal Attributes:
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Qualifications (Preferred but Not Required):
- Valid CSCS Card
- Drivers Licence Preferred
Working Hours & Conditions:
- Full-time role with early start times typical in the industry.
- Seasonal overtime may be required.
- Work takes place outdoors across various sites.
