We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Finishing Manager to support the final stages of a construction project. This is a hands-on role focused on delivering high-quality finishes and ensuring a smooth handover to the client.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all finishing trades including painting, decorating, flooring, carpentry, and snagging
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely completion
- Carry out detailed snagging inspections and ensure defects are resolved promptly
- Maintain high standards of quality control across all finishing works
- Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to meet deadlines
- Ensure health & safety regulations are followed on site
- Assist with final handover and client inspections
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on construction projects
- Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
