An established and growing civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join its highly regarded procurement team. With an annual turnover exceeding £100m and approximately 40 live projects operating concurrently, the business delivers a diverse range of schemes across the South East, including groundworks, earthworks, reinforced concrete frames, bulk excavation, infrastructure, drainage, basements, underground car parks, and highways projects. Typical contract values range from £5m to £50m.
Working closely with operational and commercial teams, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the procurement of both materials and subcontract packages across a varied project portfolio.
Key Requirements- Proven experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer within the civil engineering, groundworks, infrastructure, or RC frame sectors.
- Strong procurement experience covering both materials and subcontract packages.
- Commercially astute with strong supplier and subcontractor negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and procurement schedules simultaneously.
- Secure, well-established contractor with a strong presence throughout the South East.
- Diverse and technically challenging project portfolio.
