Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Revenue Generation
- Own and drive the new business pipeline from identification through to award, managing all stages of the sales and commercial process.
- Identify and target prospective clients through your and the Group’s existing contacts, proactive outreach, networking, and market intelligence.
- Build and maintain senior relationships with developers, asset managers, main contractors, project managers, and procurement leads.
- Lead the preparation of tender submissions, commercial proposals, and presentations, working with internal QS and technical teams to produce accurate, competitive bids.
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to raise profile and generate introductions.
- Monitor the market for upcoming developments, planning approvals, and procurement opportunities; maintain an active leads database.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close contracts in a manner that protects margins and manages risk appropriately.
- Divisional Development
- Play an active role in shaping the Division's commercial strategy, pricing approach, and service offering as it scales.
- Provide market feedback to inform product development, supply chain decisions, and capability investment.
- Assist in defining and refining the Division's value proposition, credentials, and go-to-market materials.
- Work with senior leadership to set revenue targets, track pipeline metrics, and report on commercial performance.
- Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with the in-house QS and cost planning team to structure bids accurately and at the right margin.
- Collaborate with the design and technical team to ensure proposals are deliverable and specification-compliant.
- Work closely with the Senior Buyer on the procurement and supply chain on lead times, factory capacity, and product availability to support commercially credible promises to clients.
- Ensure smooth handover from contract award to delivery teams, providing clear briefing on client expectations and contractual commitments.
