We’re working with an established construction business that is looking to bring a Junior CAD Technician / CAD Assistant into their team.
About the Role
This is a great opportunity for someone at the very start of their career — whether you’ve recently finished college/university or have some basic CAD experience and are looking for your first opportunity within construction.
You’ll be supporting the wider technical team with CAD drawings and technical documentation , while developing your skills and gaining valuable industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Producing and amending CAD drawings using AutoCAD
- Assisting with the preparation of technical drawings and layouts
- Updating drawings in line with design changes
- Maintaining and organising drawing files and technical documentation
- Supporting the technical team with drawing revisions and document control
- Assisting with measurements, dimensions and drawing information
- Liaising with the wider technical team to ensure drawings are accurate and up to date
- Learning and developing your knowledge of construction drawings and technical processes
Requirements
- Basic AutoCAD/CAD knowledge
- An interest in construction and/or design
- Good attention to detail
- Keen to learn and develop
- Recent college/university graduate or some basic CAD experience
