We are working with a well established, stable and highly reputable Tier 1 Main Contractor who have a great company culture and ethos – the company genuinely value their staff and treat their employees well and as such have great staff retention rates. The company work across a variety of sectors within the Construction industry including Social Housing, Education & Healthcare. They are proud to make a difference to communities across the country by providing critical energy efficiency upgrades and planned general upgrade schemes (such as kitchen and bathroom replacements etc.) to Social Housing properties across the country. The company have been established for several decades and have experienced a period of sustained growth over the last several years.
To continue this growth, the company are recruiting for a Business Development Director to join their Social Housing division in a key leadership role.
Summary of the role: This is a pivotal and strategic role for the business. You will be responsible for the leadership of a team consisting of BDMs and Bid Managers. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the Business Development Managers, managing client relationships, being the company representative in client meetings and at events/conferences and more. This is a strategic role – you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, ensuring the development of relationships with Local Authorities/Housing Providers in alignment with company goals.
Required Experience: The successful candidate will have experience ideally working for a Main Contractor or Social Housing Contractor. Excellent network of contacts within this industry. You should also have experience of managing teams of Business Development Managers. The role will be based in North West but will require travel nationally including to the company’s regional offices across the country and to conferences, events etc.
